Itinerary
Spring (March - May): The weather is pleasant and warm, with blooming rhododendrons painting the valleys. Skies are generally clear, offering excellent views of the Himalayas. This is also the time for various colourful festivals (Tshechus).
Autumn (September - November): This period boasts clear, crisp skies, stunning mountain views, and comfortable temperatures. It's ideal for trekking and photography, and major festivals, such as the Thimphu Tshechu, take place.
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport (PBH), you will be warmly greeted by our local representative.
Transfer to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours drive), the charming capital of Bhutan.
Check into your hotel and relax.
Afternoon: Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a revered stupa dedicated to the Third King of Bhutan, where locals circumambulate and offer prayers.
Evening: Take a stroll around the Thimphu main street and market area, observing the unique Bhutanese architecture and vibrant local life.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.
After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Thimphu.
Visit Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point), a colossal Buddha statue offering panoramic views of the Thimphu valley.
Explore the Tashichho Dzong, "Fortress of the Glorious Religion," which houses the monastic body and government offices.
Visit the Folk Heritage Museum to gain insight into traditional Bhutanese rural life.
Discover the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (Painting School), where students learn Bhutan's 13 traditional arts and crafts.

After breakfast, check out of your Thimphu hotel.
Embark on a scenic drive to Punakha (approx. 3 hours), crossing the Dochula Pass (3,100 meters). Weather permitting, enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the Himalayan ranges, adorned with 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens.
Descend into the warm Punakha Valley.
Check into your hotel.
Afternoon: Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, majestically situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (Male) and Mo Chhu (Female) rivers.
Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan, offering stunning views of the river and the surrounding valley.
Overnight stay in Punakha.
After breakfast, continue exploring Punakha.
Hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the "Temple of Fertility." This pleasant walk through rice fields leads to a unique temple associated with fertility blessings.
Enjoy the serene beauty of the Punakha Valley, perhaps taking a leisurely walk along the riverbank or exploring local villages.
Optional activities: River rafting (seasonal, at an additional cost).

After breakfast, check out of your Punakha hotel.
Drive back to Paro (approx. 3.5 - 4 hours).
Upon arrival in Paro, check into your hotel.
Afternoon: Visit the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), housed in a former watchtower, displaying a rich collection of Bhutanese art and artefacts.
Explore the majestic Rinpung Dzong, "Fortress on a Heap of Jewels," a fine example of Bhutanese architecture and a hub of monastic and administrative life.
Stroll through the charming Paro town, browse local handicraft shops, and soak in the serene atmosphere.

After an early breakfast, prepare for the highlight of your trip: the hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest Monastery).
This iconic monastery is perched precariously on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The hike is moderately challenging (approx. 4-5 hours round trip), but horses can be arranged for the uphill journey up to the cafeteria point (at extra cost).
Spend time at the monastery, soaking in the spiritual ambience and enjoying the panoramic views.
Alternatively (for those not wishing to hike): Visit the ancient Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, or explore the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, a fortress built to commemorate a victory over Tibetan invaders.
Evening: Consider experiencing a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath (optional, at additional cost) for relaxation.
Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some last-minute souvenir shopping or relaxation.
Our representative will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your departure, filled with cherished memories of Bhutan.
